What is Keep Pensacola Beautiful?
KEEP PENSACOLA BEAUTIFUL was formed by a group of concerned citizens in 1978 who took initiative to be involved in their community. We were officially chartered as a non-profit in April 1979. Originally called Pensacola-Escambia Clean Community Commission and then Clean & Green, we have established, maintained and promoted many community beautification programs.
Keep Pensacola Beautiful operates with a volunteer Board of Directors, one full-time Executive Director, two part-time office staff members, two part-time community service supervisors, and a large volunteer workforce! We are a permanent presence throughout the community and are proud to be celebrating 39 years of service to Escambia County and its residents.
Our mission is to empower citizens to improve their community environment by focusing on individual and neighborhood responsibility. Our three main focuses are beautification, recycling education, and litter awareness and prevention. To accomplish these goals we rely on volunteers from our community!
